I love to eat granola! Whether I am adding it to my oatmeal, yogurt, or eating it right out of the bag, I simply love it. I try my best to eat as healthy as I can and eating foods that are USDA Organic is really important to me because it assures me that the foods are genuinely certified organic. I also love to support important causes that are dear to me so I had the honor of reviewing a product that not only tastes good, but helps adults with Autism. I am currently in college working on my Bachelor's degree in Birth-Kindergarten and my teacher's license to be able to teach young children with and without special needs. Michael Kessaris is the inspiration for the non-profit Luv Michael. He is an 18 year old with autism who has a passion for cooking. Finding a career was not easy for Michael, a Port Washington, New York native. Despite his love of cooking, Michael was unable to enroll in culinary school without a high school diploma. Michael’s parents, both physicians, Lisa Liberatore, MD and Dimitri Kessaris, MD, helped create the food based business so that their son and others with autism would be active participants in society and lead happy, productive lives.

The idea was born to make a healthy, quality product that could provide income and a career for both Michael and other individuals with autism. Education is critical to Luv Michael’s mission and a custom curriculum is being created to foster learning and teach key skills to help those enrolled become employable.

So far, success is sweet for Luv Michael. The 2-ounce snackable Originola Granola can be found in all New York Fresh & Co., Café Metro and Wild by Nature stores as well as select Starbucks and at local stores in Southampton, New York and throughout Delaware. The granola tasted great! It was packaged well and all I did was break a piece off and ate it right out of the bag! It was crunchy and tasted sweet. I love that the Originola is Non-GMO, Gluten free, dairy free, nut free, and all organic ingredients. This was a 2oz package and is only 200 calories!  I love the fact that this company helps individuals with Autism. That is why I decided to go back to college so I can be licensed to teach so that young children with special needs can be taught so that they thrive to want to work and make their own money and I know that it starts with the foundation when they are young and I want to be apart of that.

The mask was easy to put on my face and neck. I used a warm washcloth to open my pores after I cleansed my face with my cleanser. I used my fingers to spread the mask evenly on my face. The mask has a pleasant scent that is not overpowering at all which I love. I let the mask set for 20 minutes and as it dried, I felt my skin tightening. I then took my washcloth and rinsed in warm water and used circular motions to remove the mask. I usually just rinse my face in warm water but I wanted to follow the directions and use my warm washcloth to remove the mask. It was easy to remove as well and the mask left my skin soft and my pores noticeably smaller. I was pleasantly surprised! I did notice that right under my right eyebrow there was a little irritation. My facial skin is sensitive so I just figured it was from me using my washcloth to remove the mask which I have never done before. By the time I went to bed, the irritation was gone. My skin was not red after using the clay like with other masks and that is definitely a plus for me. I am totally impressed with this clay mask and it will be apart of my weekly cleanse regimen.

Having great facial skin is very important to me. I am in my 40's and I don't want to look old before I have too. I have combination skin where it is oily in my T-zones and dry around my mouth area and I have large pores on my cheeks. This product was different from other facial exfoliators that I have used because it is actually in powder form. I love to use different types of products so this fit just right for me! According to the directions, you just need a nickel size amount of the powder but if you need a little more than do so and you add a little water to make a paste of the powder. Then you gently scrub your skin in a circular motion for several minutes. Then you let the product sit on your skin for five minutes to allow the lactic acid time to penetrate the skin. Then you just rinse the skin thoroughly and pat (not rub) the skin dry.  I noticed that this product helps in controlling the shine on my face and my pores are a little less noticeable when I put on makeup. This product has a clean smell so it is great for someone who is scent sensitive. I love how the bottle looks and the top of the bottle twists to open the little holes on top to dispense the powder and closes the same way. This product is great for anyone who has sensitive skin because this product can be used for all skin types.  It is suggested that you use this product 3 times a week.
